KipSEO is run by Techy Solutions (NS0310159-P), a business registered in Malaysia. This page explains, in plain English, what we collect on kipseo.com and through the KipSEO service, and what we do with it. We handle personal data in line with Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010. Questions or requests: hello@kipseo.com.

What we collect

  • Free audit: the website address you enter, and anything you type to help us find your Google profile (like your business name and city). We then look up public information: your website, your public Google Business Profile, nearby businesses, and what AI assistants say about businesses like yours. We save the results so we can show them to you and send you a link.
  • Your email: if you ask for your report by email (including while the audit is still running) or join the waitlist, we save your email address, plus your business name, website, audit and the plan you picked, if any.
  • If you subscribe: your business details, your weekly AI check and monthly audit results, the emails we exchange, and billing details. Payments are handled by Stripe: we never see or store your full card number.
  • Your customers' details (Pro review requests): if you upload customers for us to ask for reviews, we store their names and email addresses only to send those requests. If someone asks us to stop, we keep their email address on a do-not-email list so they're never emailed again. We never need access to your Google account.
  • Visit statistics: we count page views and actions like “audit started” with Vercel Web Analytics (no cookies) and Google Analytics. Google Analytics sets cookies to tell visits apart and tells us roughly where visitors come from and what device they use; we don't send it your email or audit. You can block it with your browser's settings or Google's opt-out add-on.
  • Abuse protection: we use your IP address to limit how many audits and sign-ups come from one place. We only keep a scrambled (hashed) form of it, for up to two days, and never with your audit or email.
  • Your settings: your light or dark mode choice is saved in your own browser.

How we use it

  • To run your audit, show your results and email you your report.
  • To provide the service if you subscribe: running your weekly AI check and monthly audit, sending your reports, and (on Pro) sending review requests to your customers.
  • To tell you about KipSEO, such as when your founding spot opens. Every email lets you reply to opt out.
  • To bill you, and to keep the records the law requires.
  • To understand how many people use the site and improve it.

We don't sell your data, and we don't share it for advertising.

Services we use

These companies process data for us, only to run the features above:

  • Vercel: hosts the website and provides visit statistics.
  • Google Analytics: visit statistics, as described above.
  • Neon: stores audits and the waitlist.
  • Resend: sends our emails, including review requests to your customers on Pro.
  • Google: looks up public business profiles (Places API), tests website speed (PageSpeed Insights) and answers the “who would you recommend?” question for the AI check (Gemini). For the AI check we only send your type of business and city, never your email.
  • OpenAI: answers the same question for the ChatGPT check. We only send your type of business and city, never your email.
  • Stripe: processes payments if you subscribe.

These providers may store and process data in the United States and other countries where they operate.

How long we keep it

We keep audits and email sign-ups until you ask us to delete them or we no longer need them. If you subscribe, we keep your account details while you're a customer, and billing records for as long as the law requires.

Your choices

Email hello@kipseo.com to see the data we hold about you, correct it, or delete your email and audits. We'll reply within 30 days. You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time by replying to any of them.

Children

KipSEO is for businesses and isn't meant for anyone under 16.

Changes

If we change how we handle data, we'll update this page and the date at the top, and email subscribers about important changes. See also our Terms of Service.
